HAVE YOU HEARD OF OBESOGENS?

The Fourth report from The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported finding 212 chemicals in people’s blood and urine. Our organs of elimination, our lymphatic system, liver and kidney’s, can process many of these chemicals. However the burden to the human elimination system can become stressful over time. New chemicals are introduced into the environment each year and out of the 212 chemicals counted by the CDC, 75 of these had never been measured before in the USA for example. These chemicals are sometimes referred to as “obesogens,” because they are thought to accumulate in fat tissue. Once there, the body in its innate wisdom will keep them around for safekeeping and protect us from the harm they could have on our vital organs.

DETOXIFICATION DURING OUR CYCLE.

Did you know that lymph drainage increases at the beginning of your menstrual cycle? Reproductive waste is removed through the lymph. But if the lymph is congested the menstrual cycle can become heavy, painful or irregular.

CELLULITE IS LINKED TO POOR MICROCIRCULATION.

If microcirculation is compromised, the cells that depend on that fresh oxygenated blood supply tend to harden and create fibrous tissue that does not require as much blood supply. This traps fat and further blocks circulation resulting in inflammation, swelling and cellulite.

Olio Maestro’s Anti Cellulite oil contains thermogenic compounds that stimulate microcirculation. The suction cup is like a mini workout for the lymphatic system.

THE LIFESTYLE FACTOR.

Exposure to a toxin-laden environment, consumption of rancid vegetable oils, stress, lack of sleep, high levels of glucose in the blood, are just some of the lifestyle factors that can make our cells resistant to insulin. And insulin is the hormone responsible for storing calories into fat tissue. So to realize lasting fat loss, one of the most important considerations is taking inventory of the lifestyle we are leading and asking ourselves “What would better support the conditions conducive to a more natural lifestyle?”

TREATING STUBBORN FAT.

Glycemic variability refers to the fluctuating blood glucose levels that occur throughout a given day. Aside from inflammation, it’s one of the most important dynamics when dealing with stubborn fat. The ability to maintain low levels of glucose and low variance of glucose in the blood is where it’s at when it comes to the weight coming off - and staying off. If glycemic variability swings too much, and say your blood sugar gets too high, you (your body) can only address this in 2 ways: getting rid of the excess glucose by expending more energy, or storing this blood sugar in fat cells.
