The Green Coffee Bean Study
Green coffee beans are unroasted coffee beans that still contain the active compound known as ‘chlorogenic acid’.
Chlorogenic Acid has been shown to have quite the impressive weight loss effects.
Studies conducted have shown that this compound, only found in unroasted coffee beans, is successful in reducing body weight, reduce fat stored in the liver and improve the function of the fat burning hormone ‘adiponectin’ in animal and human studies.
Other studies suggest that the chlorogenic acid compound can also reduce the absorption of carbohydrates from the digestive tract, which lowers blood sugar and insulin spikes, and has even been shown to drastically improve cholesterol and triglyceride levels in rats.
The following abstract from one of these studies attests to the results.
A group of 30 overweight individuals where asked to drink a cup of instant coffee enriched with 200 mg of green coffee bean for 12 weeks. The control group was given the same instant coffee cup minus the 200 mg of green coffee for the same length of time. Both groups where instructed not to change their diet or exercise habits in any way.
The results from the study can be seen here below:
The test group taking the instant coffee with green coffee bean extract lost 11.9 pounds (5.4 kg) over the 12-week period, whilst the control group taking plain instant coffee only lost only 3.7 pounds (1.7 kg).
Their body fat percentage also went down by 3.6% in the green coffee extract group, compared to 0.7% in the control group.
Our Anti Cellulite oil contains a potent dose of the chlorogenic acid compound, as well as an abundance of antioxidants, which help protect from the elements responsible for the visible signs of aging. Being that the skin is the largest organ of the body, nourishing and applying these beneficial compounds directly onto the area you wish to treat facilities their absorption and effectively work to melt the fatty adipose tissue away.
The effect of chlorogenic acid enriched coffee on glucose absorption in healthy volunteers and its effect on body mass when used long-term in overweight and obese people.
The results from a clinical study performed in 12 healthy volunteers with different coffee products containing glucose show that instant coffee enriched with chlorogenic acid induced a reduction in the absorption of glucose of 6.9% compared with the control. No such effects were seen with normal or decaffeinated instant coffee. In a second, comparative, randomized, double-blind, 12-week study we investigated the effect on the body mass of 30 overweight people, compared with normal instant coffee. The average losses in mass in the chlorogenic acid enriched and normal instant coffee groups were 5.4 and 1.7 kg, respectively. We conclude that chlorogenic acid enriched instant coffee appears to have a significant effect on the absorption and utilization of glucose from the diet. This effect, if the coffee is used for an extended time, may result in reduced body mass and body fat when compared with the use of normal instant coffee.
